Because Fox gave Christie free airtime without allowing Corzine to respond. It's very different than talking to a sitting politician not running for office about a bill, as Hot Air makes the argument seem to be about. To take it to the extreme, Chrisitie could "just show up" every time Fox did a live broadcast and get free airtime on the most popular cable network for free. That would make Fox exactly what its critics are charging: a partisan network. It's not, which is why Shep was right to apologize.

I'm puzzled over why you think Shep was right. Does Corzine have veto power over a network's airing of his opponent's interview by refusing to give one himself? I don't get it.
